- Acrylic Paint/Varnish - Acrylic paint is similar in composition to acrylic stains; however, primer application is required before applying acrylic paint. It is more durable than acrylic stains.
- Oil Based Products - Oil-based paints give a glossy finish to the fence but are difficult to apply. These products don't last long and multiple coats are required.

Painting the fence is easy and you can even do fence painting yourself without professional assistance.
- Work in Sections - Paint the fence in sections, starting from the top to finish the job neatly and quickly. Working in sections not only makes the work easy and systematic, but it also reduces chances of any section being left unpainted.
- Re-touch - After painting all the fence sections, check for gaps and apply fillers if required. If the work is not re-touched right away and a few gaps are left unpainted, painting the gaps later might spoil the uniformity of the painting.
- Drying Duration - Let the paint dry for the recommended duration to ensure best results.
